My Story
I was born on Ascension Island, in the middle of the South Atlantic Ocean, you'll find it on the map between Africa and Brazil. Ascension is a remarkable place, home to green turtles, enormous land crabs, and one active volcano.
We moved back to England for ten years, then on to Hong Kong, where my love of adventure really began. It was like stepping through a magic door into a whole new world. I've been lucky enough to step through many more doors since then, exploring every continent except Antartica.
In the past, I've been a sweet seller, burger flipper, bingo caller, and ice cream whipper. I've also lived in Europe, Australia and the US, working for some of the most well-known technology and travel brands. In 2020, I graduated from the MA in Writing for Young People at Bath Spa University where the idea for my debut novel really came to life.
These days, I'm lucky enough to spend my time dreaming up wonderful stories and adventuring with my husband and first mate, Jason, and best dog Shadow, who loves a good story almost as much as she does cheese!
